Overview
Our client is a successful mid-size software company located in downtown Toronto. They have engaged ROSS to help recruit a Team Lead, Platform. ROSS provides remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Recruitment Augmentation. The client's platform contains a collection of self-service consoles and RESTful APIs. As the Team Lead you and your 10-member team will be responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of the platform. This is a new leadership role that is strategically important to the company\'s long term growth plans.

Drive day-to-day development activities of two, five-person development teams in close collaboration with technical leaders, scrum masters and product managersWork closely with fellow team leads, principal engineers, the Director of Software Engineering and the CTO to define the company\'s technical directionSpend 20% of your time hands-on-keyboard writing codeQualifications
At least 3 years of experience managing and leading a software development team, ideally in an Agile environmentComfortable coding in your high level language of choice – Python or Java preferredExperience with development in presentation, business logic and database tiersSQL database development experience is a must and NoSQL highly desirableUnderstanding of and experience using or building self-service RESTful APIsExperience with and belief in automated testing and continuous integrationNice to have : experience building or using transactional e-commerce platformsVery strong communication and problem solving skillsBachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalentBenefits & Perks
