Operations & Logistics Manager, Ecuador – Uber

About the Role

We are looking for a high‑impact Operations & Logistics Manager to become part of our Peru & Ecuador Local Operations team and lead the operational performance of our dynamic Ecuador market. This role requires a combination of data analytics skills and the ability to operationalize high‑leverage processes that will directly optimize a multimillion‑dollar business. It will align closely with local and regional teams to drive growth initiatives and revolutionize how people move in our cities.

What the Candidate Will Do

Strategic Ownership : help develop, lead, and implement strategies to achieve business priorities in Ecuador & Peru
Business Sense : monitor, understand, and interpret key operational and financial metrics to help figure out strategy and action plans; develop and apply an understanding of the levers that move our business
Problem Solving : identify the root cause of risks and opportunities, propose multiple practical solutions, weigh tradeoffs to recommend the best approach
Process Optimization : implement, optimize, and scale core analyses and processes across Ecuador, Peru, and beyond, regularly reviewing performance
Product Improvement : proactively search for new features or improvements that could improve the experience and efficiency of our marketplace, measure their impact, and collaborate with Product teams around the world to implement launches in Ecuador and Peru
Stakeholder Management : maintain productive working relationships with immediate team and cross‑functional partners across operations, marketing, customer support, product, policy, and legal to scope, test and implement initiatives

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience

Data‑driven mentality : make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation; experience getting in the weeds of data while seeing the big picture

Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, querying, and generating insights

Executional excellence : ability to work and accomplish multiple tasks in parallel, delivering results in a fast‑paced and ambiguous environment while maintaining high‑quality work standards

Communication : Spanish and English proficiency; ability to interpret and present data to various audiences in an engaging, comprehensive, yet succinct manner

Teamwork : demonstrate optimism, respect others, work well in a team, and maintain healthy working relationships even in disagreements

Planning & Organization : ability to create detailed project plans with stages, milestones, basic interdependencies, and owners

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in fast‑paced and growth‑driven companies, startups, or entrepreneurship with regional or global footprint

Strong communication skills in Spanish and English

Strong domain knowledge of SQL

End‑to‑end Operations Project Management experience
