Position Overview

The Patient Experience Program Manager at USC Norris Cancer Hospital is responsible for leading initiatives that enhance patient and family-centered care. The role requires leadership, organizational, and analytical skills to coordinate programs such as concierge services, volunteer services, and the Image Enhancement Center. The manager will also assist in strategic planning, manage communication and project rollouts, and support a culture of excellence in patient satisfaction and service.

Essential Duties

1. Patient Experience : Ensure a positive experience for patients and families, develop best practices, manage social media reputation, handle complaints, and follow patient care continuity.

2. Volunteer Management : Recruit, retain, and recognize volunteers, create departmental processes, and improve operational excellence.

3. Leadership and Coordination : Lead daily huddles, participate in leadership meetings, assist with strategic planning, manage patient advisory councils, and facilitate patient experience projects.

4. Program Management : Oversee the Image Enhancement Center, manage concierge services, inventory, and contribute to organizational improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in patient / customer relations, with a proven record of developing and implementing satisfaction programs.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in patient / family satisfaction initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, coaching, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in team building, conflict resolution, project management, and computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional certifications relevant to patient experience.
  • Licenses / Certifications

  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) within 30 days of hire if applicable.
  • Certification as a Patient Experience Professional within one year of hire.
  • The salary range is $81,120 - $133,010 annually, based on experience and other factors.
