The LA Conservation Corps After School Program operates extended day academic and enrichment activities at elementary and middle schools throughout the diverse communities of Los Angeles. Providing services to more than 4,500 children and youth daily, Program Leaders mentor and offer expanded learning and enrichment opportunities to meet the needs of students, parents, schools and communities.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Professional Expert brings a particularly high skill level and expertise to an after-school activity. The Professional Expert is recognized in his / her field as highly qualified. Examples include professional musicians, professional artists or professional dance instructors for after-school academic enrichment (club) activities for elementary and middle school students.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provides professional expertise to middle school students as part of comprehensive after school experience.
• Leads high quality enrichment activity.
• Accurately completes and maintains rosters and daily sign-ins (if assigned).
• Mentors and acts as positive role model for student participants.

Employment Status : Contract employee

Period of Contract : TBD

Hours : 3-15 hours per week

Compensation : $ 30 hour, no benefits
