JD Logistics, the logistics arm of JD.com, has announced plans to double its overseas warehouse space by the end of 2025. JD.com is a Chinese e-commerce company headquartered in Beijing. JD Logistics is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in the Southern California area. This Hunter role will be responsible for landing new accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring the success of our logistics solutions in the region. Experience in Contract Logistics and / or eCommerce business highly preferred.

Base pay range

$100,000.00 / yr - $125,000.00 / yr

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Able to leverage personal or industry resources to actively develop and maintain relationships with local Chinese companies, fostering long-term partnerships and driving business growth
  • Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with potential clients.
  • Manage key accounts, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service and building long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, marketing, customer service) to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Track sales performance, prepare regular reports, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring profitability and sustainability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales eCommerce / 3PL / Contract Logistics industries.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation, and supply chain solutions is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
