Descripción del trabajoLikely a contributor to nixpkgs, or hosting private flakes or overlays. Participate in public communication via writing blog posts and communicating with colleagues and the Functional programming community. Optionally, you have experience with at least one non-Haskell functional programming language (Scala, OCaml, Erlang, Clojure, etc.). Leading, mentoring, and coaching both clients and Modus teammates from the comfort of home. Deep diving into customer needs and translating them into actionable requirements. Exploring new tech and continuously learning—because software is always evolving! Sharing your knowledge and participating actively in the community. Overlap with some EST hours daily is expected. Join Our Team as a Functional Back End Engineer at Modus Create! We are looking for a Functional Back End Engineer (Haskell, Nix) to partner with cross-functional teams and provide strategic consulting, full lifecycle product development.
About You
- Experience Level : Senior Level
- Have experience with Haskell. You have written Haskell in your free time or professionally. You know about the advanced features of the language and can navigate a large codebase that uses them.
- You are comfortable working on the core (consensus, ledger, APIs, testing, etc.) of a blockchain project : no dapp, no NFT.
- Have an interest in – and some experience of – open source community contributions.
- Passionate about Nix (or similar systems such as Guix).
- Interest in declarative, reproducible builds, with experience in systems like Bazel, Buck2, or Meson.
- Fluent with the command line.
- Skilled in managing development pipelines, test automation, continuous integration, and cloud-based deployments.
- Knowledgeable in software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies.
- Ability to distinguish between accidental and essential complexity.
- Experience working in teams on large codebases or completing independently-driven projects.
