Senior Mechanical Designer

Overview

Join to apply for the Senior Mechanical Designer role at Lycopodium . Lycopodium delivers high quality professional engineering and project delivery services globally across resources, infrastructure and industrial processes sectors. The role is based in San Isidro, Peru.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality, cost effective, detail 3D designs and general arrangement drawings.
• Work under the supervision of the Principal Designer, Project Lead Designer, Lead Discipline Design Engineer or the Project Lead Engineer.
• Be proficient in all aspects of 3D MicroStation software (and preferably Aecosim or Triforma) and follow Lycopodium CAD procedures.
• Supervise up to three subordinate personnel as required.
• Layout and detail materials handling and mine plant design in the nominated discipline.
• Produce design drawings that meet industry standards and comply with Lycopodium drawing office and CAD procedures.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Produce design drawings within the project defined budget hours for the deliverables.
• Demonstrate understanding of fabrication and construction techniques.
• Commit to continued professional development.
• Check design drawings as required.
