Position Overview

The Executive Sous Chef, Catering and Private Events is a culinary leader responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in menu development, food cost control, labor management, and executing all catered events. This role involves creating and updating catering menus, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update catering menus, assist in recipe creation, sourcing, pricing, and staff training.
• Support kitchen operations including staffing, scheduling, ordering, and production targets.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and university policies.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate culinary staff, fostering team development.
• Oversee food production, develop new menus, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage food and labor costs within budgetary guidelines.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.
