  • Role Summary :
  • The Planning & Control Leader, based in Arequipa, Peru, will play a dual role : leading the planning, scheduling, and control of turnkey service projects while also acting as a hands-on technical and operational leader in the field. This position is accountable for aligning resources, budgets, and timelines with customer and business objectives, ensuring safety, service excellence, and commercial impact. The role combines operational discipline, customer focus, and leadership, making it a critical driver of growth and performance in the region.
  • Key Duties & Responsibilities :
  • Operational Management
  • Lead and coordinate the planning, scheduling, and execution of turnkey service projects.
  • Ensure excellence in safety (TRIF), utilization, and profitability KPIs.
  • Align local execution with global and regional strategies to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Manage resources, priorities, and budgets to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Commercial Contribution & Sales Support
  • Deliver turnkey services that directly increase operating income (OI) and regional revenue.
  • Generate and track new service leads in CRM and support commercial pipeline growth.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers and Site Managers to identify upselling opportunities.
  • Promote FLSmidth solutions during service delivery to build long-term commercial relationships.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and support staff.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and safety.
  • Promote cross-training, specialization, and professional development to elevate capabilities.
  • Operational Decision-Making & Field Support
  • Make real-time, tactical decisions on-site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer value.
  • Provide technical analysis and feedback to improve product reliability and service processes.
  • Act as a visible leader, bringing presence, energy, and urgency to operational teams.
  • Reporting & KPI Monitoring
  • Own and present key metrics : + TRIF (safety) + Operating Income (OI) and Revenue + Number of leads in CRM + Monthly visit frequency + Utilization & Absorption + Cost Area + Headcount + Provide management and customers with progress dashboards and recommendations.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Mechanical, industrial, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in mining, turnkey services, field services, or industrial operations.
  • Proven track record in project planning, scheduling, and control.
  • Strong operational and commercial mindset with demonstrated revenue and OI impact.
  • Excellent planning, resource allocation, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, CRM tools, and planning software (Primavera / MS Project).
  • Intermediate English (spoken & written) – required.
  • Willingness to travel across the region.
