About the Opportunity
The Facilities Manager will provide managerial oversight of facilities services, amenities, maintenance, repair, and asset management across a portfolio of buildings within Chile, Argentina and Perú. The role reports directly to the Area Director and serves as the on‑site representative for each building’s lease, managing relationships with facilities and cleaning providers, and coordinating field operations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact for community and vendor interactions within the portfolio.
- Maintain supplier and vendor performance for quality and cost, including escalation for large maintenance emergencies.
- Approve and manage budgets for incremental service requests outside of standard contracts.
- Coordinate with vendors for emergency and incident management plans.
- Collaborate with external vendors to complete in‑building audits.
- Serve as liaison between the Community Management team and building Property Management for any escalated issues.
- Partner with Community Manager and Product Project Manager to plan and implement break‑fix and CAPEX projects efficiently.
- Escalate vendor‑related issues to Community teams within the portfolio.
- Conduct quarterly or semi‑annual operational walkthroughs to evaluate building condition and identify critical maintenance projects.
- Review Salesforce data reports weekly to assess cleaning and renovation impact, providing insights to Community Ops and Managers.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for all equipment and appliances to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor facilities budgets monthly to ensure alignment with objectives and expense control.
- Lead global and regional project rollouts, including HSE, energy / sustainability, OPEX, security, and capital improvements.
- Manage large‑scale maintenance projects and Capital Improvement support.
- Represent WeWork during building openings, ensuring hand‑over and punch‑list completion to deliver a complete asset to suppliers.
- Project manage enterprise special requests through HQ by We.
- Ensure fire, life safety, OSHA, and H&S standards compliance with regional Health & Safety support.
- Manage capital project implementation and execution, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Forecast long‑term program upgrades and collaborate with Procurement to increase operational effectiveness.
- Showcase WeWork core values and strive to achieve our mission.
- Monitor governance and cost‑saving initiatives, support vendor technology changes and integration, and manage keycard access for vendors and enterprise security.
- Ensure completion of punch lists before building openings to transfer operations to suppliers.
Qualifications
AA or BA degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).5 years of experience in facilities or operations management.Proficiency in English.Experience managing operations across multiple countries.Experience managing suppliers and vendors with contract management.Experience working with union vendors.Familiarity with lease operations language and execution.Preferred certifications : Building Operations credentials; Facilities Management certifications.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Strong knowledge of commercial MEP systems : HVAC, plumbing, fire and life safety, electrical distribution.Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills.Proficiency in technical applications : Corrigo, Salesforce, and Power BI.Willingness to travel 40‑50% of the time.Life at WeWork
