Position Overview

We are looking for an IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) Developer to join our LATAM team.

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining workflow-based solutions using IBM BAW and related tools, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems and automation platforms.

Candidates with experience in Appian, MuleSoft, Pega, Camunda, or ServiceNow are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement business workflows using IBM BAW.
  • Integrate services and systems using SOAP, REST, JSON, and XML .
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure application quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve workflow or integration issues.
  • Provide technical documentation and user support.
  • Stay current with IBM BAW capabilities and best practices in workflow automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field .
  • Master’s or postgraduate studies in Automation, Business Process Management (BPM), or Software Engineering are a plus.
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in IBM BAW development.
  • English proficiency at the B2–C1 level.
  • Solid understanding of BPMN , process design, and workflow modeling.
  • Integration Development : SOAP / REST APIs, JSON, XML.
  • Database Management : SQL / NoSQL; experience connecting workflows to data sources.
  • Decision Modeling : DMN / ODM; experience with decision rules in process flows.
  • Agile / Scrum methodologies; familiarity with Jira, Asana, or MS Project.
  • Version Control & CI / CD : Git, Jenkins, Docker (nice to have).
  • Cloud & Containerization : IBM Cloud Pak, AWS, or Azure.

  • Problem‑solving mindset for troubleshooting workflow and integration issues.
  • Collaboration and teamwork across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Time management to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail in workflow design and testing.
  • Adaptability in Agile / Scrum environments.
  • Clear communication to explain technical solutions to non‑technical audiences.

    • Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation .
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

    • Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have)

  • IBM Certified BPM Developer
  • Appian Certified Associate Developer
  • Agile / Scrum Fundamentals Certification
