Overview
Software Engineering Manager at Publicis Sapient. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring engineering excellence across the portfolio, coach senior managers, guide technical decisions, and lead cross-pod architecture integration. Responsibilities include staffing, estimation, client consulting, and delivering scalable, maintainable outcomes across teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing network of ~40 senior managers, indirectly supporting hundreds of engineers across global pods, promoting engineering excellence, accountability, and quality
- Coach and develop talent at scale, identifying capability gaps and enabling technical growth across distributed teams
- Act as a senior escalation point for architecture validation, production troubleshooting, and legacy refactoring decisions
- Guide strategic architectural direction in microservices, data pipelines, and AI integrations to ensure scalable and maintainable outcomes
- Drive alignment across architecture domains and promote adoption of DevOps, CI / CD, cloud-native standards, and AI-assisted testing practices
- Partner with client and internal stakeholders to oversee project health, staffing, and delivery KPIs, ensuring visibility and risk mitigation
- Lead discussions with engineering teams to validate technical proposals and approve go / no-go decisions in architecture reviews
- Empower engineering teams to leverage platforms such as Azure OpenAI to modernize codebases and boost testing coverage
- Deliver regular insights to client and leadership stakeholders on engineering health, velocity, and continuous improvement opportunities
Skills & Experience
10+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience, with expertise in large-scale enterprise systemsAdvanced fluency in English (C1), with experience communicating with clients and stakeholders in English-speaking environmentsStrong experience in .NET (preferred), Java, and designing scalable backend architectures using microservices and API-first strategiesProficiency in frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or VueProven ability to deliver cloud-native systems using Azure, AWS, or GCP, with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps toolingDeep knowledge of engineering principles like SOLID, DRY, and Clean Code, with a track record of enforcing these standardsExtensive experience in Scrum-based Agile delivery with distributed and multicultural teams across time zonesExperience delivering within regulated environments (healthcare, insurance, or finance) where security and compliance are essentialSet Yourself Apart
