L&D Instructional Design / Development

What You Will Do In This Role

Essential Functions / Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain training materials for participants and facilitators, including learning objectives, activities, content based on top call drivers, and performance measurements
  • Collaborate with peers to propose creative learning solutions for different audiences
  • Identify and provide improvement recommendations to lesson specifications, including alternative delivery methods / approaches
  • Interact with and lead discussions with multiple key stakeholders to gather input on program needs and classroom delivery strategies
  • Mentor peers by conducting peer reviews for other Instructional Designers
  • Lead learning initiative projects and drive consistency within core team members
  • Create onboarding material, a development SharePoint site for content creation, and related project documentation
  • Lead or collaborate with business stakeholders on analysis and redesign of curriculum maps to improve efficiency or reduce training time
  • Lead Trainer the Trainer demonstrations; synthesize and follow up on feedback
  • Oversee implementation, consolidate feedback, conduct performance analysis to validate training effectiveness, and update materials accordingly
  • Read and interpret reports to perform analysis, identify trends, and recommend learning solutions
  • Stay current on industry trends to recommend innovative techniques
  • Provide backup support to the Instructional Design Manager as needed
  • Coordinate and monitor work assignments within timelines; assist in problem resolution and guide team members to apply sound business solutions

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field; 3–5 years of experience preferred
  • Professionalism and ability to build relationships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with urgency; ability to work under pressure and take initiative
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Additional Requirements

  • Proficient in content development tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Vyond)
  • Proficient in photo and audio editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Paint, Adobe Audition, Audacity)
  • Effective presentation skills, including adult / accelerated learning techniques

  • Developed professional expertise with several years of work experience; applies policies and procedures to resolve issues
  • Exercises judgment and analyzes data to recommend solutions to problems
  • Proposes process improvements based on experience and knowledge
