Technology Architect

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Backlog Management:
  • Own and manage their assigned team’s user stories within the product backlog, ensuring it is up to date, prioritized (based on stakeholder feedback, business value, and changing requirements) and aligned with the product roadmap and strategic direction set by the Product Manager.
  • Write clear, concise, and actionable technical user stories with well‑defined acceptance criteria, definition of ready and definition of done.
  • Continuously refine the backlog within the team members.
  • Estimate technical user stories based on story points (effort, uncertainty, and complexity) to define capacity per iteration.
• 2. PO Background (Important to have):
  • Knowledge of Cloud concepts, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
  • Work under agile frameworks and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), managing planning, reviews, refinements and grooming.
  • Review product increments to ensure they meet the technical design, customer‑required functionality, safety, quality standards and documentation.
  • Knowledge of non‑functional vs functional requirements.
  • Managing definitions and priorities under high uncertainty environments.
  • Deep understanding of scrum framework and agile principles.
  • Experience working in Agile teams (Particularly SAFe).
  • Skilled in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization.
  • Prioritizing features based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools (Specifically ADO).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
• 3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to understand the product vision, priorities, futures, strategy, manage of technical information, and goals.
  • Engage with other stakeholders to gather requirements, feedback, and validate stories.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the development team to ensure alignment.
• 4. Sprint Planning and Execution:
  • Participate in sprint planning meetings to help the team understand the requirements and prioritize tasks.
  • Ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide timely feedback and clarification to the development team during sprints.
• 5. Product Development and Delivery:
  • Collaborate with the development team to deliver high‑quality product increments that meet the defined requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and demos of completed work to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Ensure that delivered features meet the acceptance criteria and are ready for release.
• 6. Continuous Improvement:
  • Monitor and evaluate product and agile performance using metrics and KPIs, and make data‑driven decisions to improve the product.
  • Participate in retrospectives and other continuous improvement activities to enhance team performance and product quality.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform product decisions.
• 7. Documentation and Communication:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for user stories, features, and product requirements.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and issues to the Product Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all relevant information is shared with the development team in a timely manner.
• 8. Interfaces and Collaboration:
  • Product Managers: Work closely with Product Managers to ensure that the technical product backlog aligns with the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Business Owners: Engage with Business Owners to understand business priorities, gather technical requirements, and validate technical features.
  • Stakeholders: Facilitate communication between to ensure alignment and gather feedback on technical product development.
