Job Description

We are seeking candidates for the Senior Water Resources Engineer position to serve a varied client base and help expand our Water Resources Practice in Ohio. Our office locations are in Dayton, Lima, and Cleveland, with remote or hybrid work options available.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience, strong professional and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, creativity, and the ability to collaborate and work independently.

Pay : $91,000 – $140,000, depending on experience, certifications, and regional standards.

Essential Functions :

  • Design and plan water resources projects, including stream / wetland restoration, dam remediation, floodplain analysis, culvert and bridge replacement, stormwater planning, watershed studies, and utility design.
  • Lead projects from concept through design, construction documents, and post-construction support.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget; engage in client and project management and business development.
  • Build relationships with clients and agencies as needed.
  • Collaborate with CAD designers, EITs, GIS technicians, and support staff.
  • Mentor junior staff.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Credentials : Education :

  • Master’s in civil engineering with emphasis on water resources or related field.
  • Ohio PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.

    • Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar.
  • Experience with hydrologic / hydraulic modeling; 2D modeling experience preferred.
  • GIS experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ODOT standards and pre-qualification for hydraulics.
  • Understanding of stormwater management standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
