Sr. Accountant

Overview

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is hiring a Sr. Accountant to join the Finance team in Cypress, CA. The Sr. Accountant will serve as a key resource for the global organization and provide financial oversight to ensure the integrity of financial records complies with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The role supports the global accounting team with operational oversight, transactional processing oversight, preparation of financial statements, audit support and the ongoing implementation of financial and compliance controls.

Base pay range : $71,000.00 / yr - $135,000.00 / yr

What you’ll be doing :

• Prepare Global quarterly financial statements and oversee issuance of the Global Financial Services annual financial statements.
• Assist the Statutory Manager in establishing, monitoring, and enforcing global IFRS policies and procedures specific to financial services.
• Monitor and confirm the financial condition of all global entities by conducting random audits and reviews, in conjunction with the preparation of the YMC Reporting Package, to ensure IFRS compliance.
• Fully support external audits to ensure quality and timely delivery of Global financial statements.
• Receive direction on tasks from the Statutory Accounting Manager and, from time to time, from the Controller and / or the executive team.
