Requirements
- Team Leadership & Management : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-7 software engineers
- Conduct regular 1 : 1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, sense of urgency and over communication.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new engineering talent
- Collaborate with engineering leadership on team planning and resource allocation
- Promote best practices in software development and code quality
Technical Strategy & Product Development
Define and implement technical strategy aligned with business objectives and our Cloud Center of ExcellenceOversee the full software development lifecycle from conception to deploymentDrive architectural decisions and technology stack choicesEnsure code quality, security, scalability and maintainability standardsChampion agile development methodologies and continuous integrationLead technical design reviews and architecture discussionsSpend 20% to 30% of your time doing hands-on work.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Strategically partner with product managers to translate requirements into technical solutionsCollaborate with QA teams to establish comprehensive testing strategiesCoordinate with the SRE team for seamless deploymentsEngage with stakeholders to communicate technical progress and challengesSupport other business teams with technical expertiseProject Management & Delivery
Plan and execute complex software projects with multiple dependenciesManage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigationEnsure timely delivery of high-quality software releasesImplement and maintain development processes and workflowsMonitor team velocity and continuously improve development efficiencyDrive post-mortem processes for incidents and project retrospectivesExperience
8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in management rolesProven track record of leading high-performing engineering teamsExperience with full-stack development and modern software architecturesBackground in agile development frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)Experience with software development lifecycle and release managementTechnical Skills
Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages (Typescript, Python, etc.)5+ years of experience with Node.jsDeep understanding of software architecture patterns and design principlesAdvanced knowledge and experience with Amazon Web ServicesKnowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQLFamiliarity with CI / CD pipelines and automated testing frameworksUnderstanding of security best practices and compliance requirementsLeadership & Communication
