Key Responsibilities :
Help World Vision achieve Our Promise through project management, data analysis & research, business process improvement and knowledge management!
The incumbent to this business-critical role will provide best in class project management, working with managers, analysts and cross-functional teams to solve complex problems. They will apply strong analytical skills to better understand strategic and operational issues, that may impede progress towards implementation of the Our Promise Strategy across World Vision’s Global Field Operations.
They will deliver simplification of global processes, procedures, guidance and standards, as well as ensure these products are available and accessible through knowledge management. They will ensure the voice of the field is heard through coordination and engagement.
Preferred Locations : anywhere in the Americas, Asia, East Africa Region, Middle-Eastern Europe and United Kingdom including other locations where WVI is registered.
Major Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination (30%)
Provide end to end project management of specific Global Field Operations Initiatives.
Collaboratively engage with, and work with key GFO stakeholders across the Global Centre and Regions to solve complex problems and ensure completion of project deliverables.
Identify risks hindering achievement of GFO priorities and GFO contributions to Our Promise and identify and support implementation of solutions.
Support and participate in local-to-global coordination mechanisms.
Lead and / or participate in Big Rocks and other priority initiative coordination groups.
Data Analysis, Research and Reporting (30%)
Support Global Field Operations senior leadership decision-making by synthesizing, analysing and presenting real time data to support decision-making.
Link diverse data sets and draw out insights to help GFO leadership better understand operational dynamics, issues and possible solutions.
Develop briefings, recommendations and guidance documents as required.
Simplification & Business Process Improvement (10%)
Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and simplify operations.
Identify processes, systems, procedures to be stopped, paused or eliminated.
Identify Key Performance Indicators – in terms of business and process benefits – that drive performance and ensure continual improvement.
Knowledge Management & Learning (30%)
Track implementation of GFO priorities
Support coordination and implementation of key performance metrics such as PQSR, Strategy Scorecards and other Our Promise Phase III metrics.
Review and revise and recommend enhancements to current GFO managed metrics to ensure learning, agility and alignment to Our Promise Going Further.
Select, develop and recommend to Senior Director new metrics and data that will enhance Global Field Operations in decision making.
Maintain GFO WV Central Site.
Develop GFO KM strategy and in coordination with key GC teams ensure a coordinated approach to KM that drive innovation, informed decision-making, and continuous learning.
Required qualifications, experience and certifications
Master's degree preferred, in economics, business administration, public administration, international development or related field
Computer Skills : Demonstrates effective computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suite (including advanced Excel capability), Microsoft Power BI and various software applications and databases used in analytical work
Formal qualification in project management or data analytics
Kaizen / Lean Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement certification desirable
Demonstrated ability to tailor complex analysis and presentation of data & research to the needs of a variety of users
5 years’ experience in project management of business and technical change implementation.
5 years’ experience in detailed business and data analysis
Preferred Experience, Knowledge and / or other Qualifications
Expert at MS Office application suite including Microsoft PowerPoint and MS Project.
Expert at using MS Excel including Pivot Tables, to acquire and run desktop data analysis.
Confident working in PowerBI and other data analytic platforms.
Familiar with Big Data analytical tools, techniques, and methodologies to harvest, aggregate, normalize, and draw analytical insight.
International Development : Strong knowledge and understanding of humanitarian industry (relief, development, and advocacy), including how INGOs operate in the global and local contexts.
Experience in complex business analysis, data mining and statistics.
Languages, travel and working arrangement's
Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
