Sterling Engineering is looking for a Reliability Engineer in Peru, IL. This opportunity is with a well-established manufacturer known for innovation, safety, and operational excellence.
Job Duties
- Develop and implement reliability programs and asset strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize predictive maintenance technologies like vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil analysis.
- Support capital projects by providing input on equipment design and reliability.
- Collaborate across maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to optimize asset reliability.
- Lead improvement initiatives such as FMEA, FMCA, MTBF, and life cycle analysis.
- Manage the site’s relief system program and related compliance tasks.
- Track and report monthly KPIs related to asset performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and proactive maintenance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical process environment.Strong knowledge of safety policies and maintenance best practices.Proficient in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive change.Comfortable working in an industrial setting with required PPE.Must be eligible to obtain a TWIC badge for facility access.Experience
3+ years of reliability or maintenance engineering experience, preferably in a chemical or process industry.Familiarity with RCM, predictive maintenance, and asset management strategies.Experience conducting root-cause analyses and managing incident investigations.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
