This position involves maintenance at a Depot Level repair facility on aircraft electronic components, including arresting, launching, and recovery systems on aircraft carriers. Travel to ships overseas, including in combat zones, may be required. Military aviation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities include :

• Performing Non Destructive Testing, NAVSEA Level II preferred
• Assisting in jobs related to ALAD systems, NDT, and welding
• Following blueprints, process instructions, and specifications from NAVSEA and NAVAIR
• Manufacturing, assembling, disassembling, repairing, and testing ALRE systems and components
• Installing and servicing hydraulic cylinders, heat exchangers, valves, and safety devices
• Machining parts using portable tools and machines
• Connecting machinery and fluid lines
• Working from technical documents, diagrams, and blueprints
• Ensuring precision in finished products, generally within .001 inch
• Applying broad mechanical trade knowledge and improvising jigs and fixtures
• Operating machine tools and using precision measurement instruments
