Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Designer to join our growing team in Lima, Peru.

Reporting to the Principal Designer, the Mechanical Designer will produce high quality, cost effective, detail 3D designs and general arrangement drawings. The draftsperson will, in general, work under the supervision of the Principal Designer, Project Lead Designer, Lead Discipline Design Engineer or the Project Lead Engineer.

The tasks you'll perform

• Be proficient in all aspects of 3D MicroStation software (and preferably Aecosim or Triforma) and to use those skills within the Lycopodium defined CAD procedures.
• Be proficient in the detailing of materials handling and mine plant design in their nominated discipline.
• Produce design drawings that are consistent with industry standard techniques and that comply with Lycopodium drawing office and CAD procedures.
• Demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be capable of producing design drawings within the project defined budget hours for the defined deliverable document.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development.
