The Sr. Software Engineer (SSE) will provide hands-on leadership in the development of highly complex, highly differentiated digital therapeutic software products. The SSE will collaborate with the lead software engineer, solutions architects, and product owners to engineer and implement highly complex digital therapeutic software products. The SSE will participate in all Agile ceremonies and processes, including backlog grooming / refinement, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews and demonstrations.

Responsibilities

Analyze and Build System designs for the business requirements.
Perform Code Reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Build / Setup application development, QA, and delivery frameworks.
Drive the execution adhering to quality and DevSecOps processes.
Deliver the software meeting various non-function / architectural requirements.

Required skills and qualifications

Bachelor's degree in technology related field

3+ years of experience with system design skills and performing code reviews.

3+ years of experience building Microservices applications

3+ years of experience working with Node.js, Nest.js, or equivalent

3+ years of experience working with REST API development

3+ years of experience working with ReactJS

1+ years of experience working with React Native

3+ years of experience in a full-cycle software development, preferably in an agile environment including design, coding, testing, release, and maintenance

Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud infrastructure and services (AWS preferred)

Working experience in various application constructs (micro-services, cloud computing, web app, mobile app, data access layer, event-driven, or API-based)

Experience with cloud providers, preferable AWS (S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, DocumentDb, DynamoDb, Lambda)

Familiarity with various databases, RDS (PostgresQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDb, Cassandra, etc

You understand container & serverless architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS)

Familiarity with Test Driven and Domain Driven Development (TDD / DDD), including using automated test frameworks (Jest).

Experienced with one or more Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. Jira).

Preferred Skills and Experience

Bilingual – Spanish and English

Familiarity with Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM)

Familiarity with GitHub for version control

Familiarity with AI-based software engineering automation like Copilot, ChatGPT and others

Familiarity with ML and AI systems implementation
