Marketing Development Representative (MDR)

Position : Marketing Development Representative (MDR)

Working Hours : US Business Hours

Hiring Company : We are a 10-year-old remote staffing business with a fully remote team of 100+ employees. Originally a customer service agency, we've leveraged our experience and technical expertise to become the industry’s first AI-empowered (human) virtual assistant service.

About the Role

As a Marketing Development Representative, you will convert marketing leads into qualified sales opportunities (e.g., scheduled calls) for the sales team through effective phone, email, SMS, and other creative tactics. You will design, execute, and own the multi-channel follow-up strategy to achieve this.

Responsibilities

  • Connect & Follow Up : Execute scheduled, personalized multi-channel touches for all leads until a sales call is scheduled or the lead is disqualified / complete.
  • Strategy Design / Improvements : Build, A / B-test, and refine follow-up strategies to increase bookings and reach rate.
  • Multi-Channel Communication : Use phone, email, SMS, and other channels to maximize reach.
  • Handoff to Sales : Transition scheduled calls with proper context sharing and ensure prospect show-up.
  • CRM Hygiene : Log every interaction promptly; maintain accurate lead statuses, notes, and next steps.
  • Reporting : Track activity, results, progress toward targets, and suggest improvements.
  • Marketing Insights : Provide lead quality insights, objection trends, and campaign performance data.
  • Process Improvement : Identify blockers, propose enhancements, and test new ideas to increase bookings.

Requirements

Competencies

  • Experience (1+ year) owning and achieving lead follow-up / conversion in SDR / MDR roles for B2B products or services.
  • High performer in a multichannel hunter sales environment, including phone, SMS, email, etc.
  • Experience designing and implementing follow-up strategies in CRM and email marketing tools.
