A growing, dynamic, and design-forward consumer goods company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will oversee all accounting functions—including general ledger, AP / AR, payroll, and financial reporting—while supporting strategic decision-making through financial insights. This is a hands-on, collaborative role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do :

  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Lead the accounting team, overseeing transactional and general ledger accounting.
  • Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review month-end inventory and COGS entries, managing inventory reconciliation with cross-functional partners.
  • Reconcile selected monthly balance sheet accounts.
  • Develop and refine month-end close and accounting procedures.
  • Ensure accurate recording of AR and AP activities through oversight of staff.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on tax matters, including sales tax, income tax, transfer pricing, and related compliance.
  • Support year-end audits and manage audit requests.
  • Analyze and research reporting issues to improve processes and accuracy.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects to support the Accounting department as needed.
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What We’re Looking For :

  • 7–10 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably within a growth-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Experience with relevant accounting systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High-energy, proactive work ethic with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
  • Customer service mindset with a collaborative approach.
