Front End Developer

At ASTAY, we are leaders in technological solutions for the mining industry. We collaborate with major mining companies in Peru and develop projects nationally and internationally. Our presence spans South America, Central Asia, Africa, and the United Kingdom, where we deliver innovation and value to the global mining sector. We are seeking a professional with expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields for the position of Front-End Developer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in frontend development using React.js and / or Next.js.
  • Experience in building responsive and optimized interfaces for industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of web application deployment on Linux servers.

Technical Skills

  • Frameworks : React.js, Next.js (experience with Server Side Rendering – SSR is desirable).
  • Reactive programming : RxJS.
  • Testing frameworks : Jest, Testing Library.
  • Version control : Git, branch management (GitFlow).
  • Deployment : Packaging and deploying applications on Linux servers with Node.js / PM2 or similar.
  • API Integration : Consuming RESTful services using Axios or Fetch API.
  • Cloud : Basic knowledge of Azure for services like authentication, storage, and APIs.
  • Security best practices : OWASP guidelines for frontend development.

    • Responsibilities

  • Develop frontend applications using Next.js and React.js.
  • Integrate with RESTful APIs developed by backend teams.
  • Ensure a smooth, consistent, and responsive user experience across devices.
  • Optimize applications for high performance in industrial settings.
  • Ensure solutions are portable for deployment on Linux on-premise servers.
  • Participate in code reviews, maintaining high quality standards (linting, testing).
  • Collaborate with UI / UX designers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Document components and workflows properly.
  • Implement and promote security best practices (prevent XSS, CSRF, etc.).
  • Participate in innovative mining projects.
  • Offer flexible working arrangements (in-person / remote).
