Job Overview : Blank Rome’s Los Angeles office seeks a Professional Assistant to support the Commercial Litigation group. The role requires proactive handling of multiple tasks, maintaining confidentiality, and contributing to a professional, efficient work environment. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence in Century City three days per week (or more as needed). The position reports to the Office Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate command of workflow and utilize firm resources appropriately.
• Use ServiceNow to manage assignments.
• Create, edit, format, and proofread documents (agreements, contracts, plans, etc.) and maintain them in the document management system.
• Prepare legal documents for e-Filing and PACER filings.
• Communicate on behalf of attorneys, including with outside vendors.
• Prepare new client matter request packets, coordinate approvals, conduct conflict searches, and prepare retainer letters.
• Review proformas and edit bills according to client billing arrangements.
• Enter, track, and coordinate new client / matter information.
• Edit and coordinate client pitches with Marketing Department.
• Maintain InterAction and / or Extranet data and keep information current.
• Maintain electronic and paper files per firm guidelines.
• Monitor attorney calendars and provide timely updates and reminders.
• Coordinate and / or book travel arrangements.
• Prepare, track, and maintain attorney expenses in Chrome River.
• Organize conference calls and client meetings.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned and work additional hours as needed.

Qualifications

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 per year. Actual salaries depend on geographic location, experience, and skillset. The salary range is part of Blank Rome’s total compensation and may be complemented by discretionary bonuses and profit-sharing, where eligible.
