Position

WATG is hiring a Project Accountant in California for the Los Angeles or Tustin office.

Role

The Project Accountant will assist with project accounting, including setup, client billings, collections, accounts payable, and management reports.

Responsibilities

  • Project Setup and Project Health : Set up projects and phases in the BST system, prepare weekly NSR reports, assist with project close-outs.
  • Contracts : Review project contracts for financial compliance, maintain related documentation and logs.
  • Accounts Receivables : Post cash receipts, monitor collections, research unidentified payments, prepare invoices and reports.
  • Accounts Payables : Code and post vouchers, coordinate approvals, manage PWP tracking, reconcile month-end data, and enter IC invoices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project revenue accounting within a mid-sized professional services organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, accounting software, and databases; BST or similar ERP experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
