Software Engineer Technical Lead - Lider Tecnico
We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineering Team Lead to lead our software development team in Lima. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on leader who can drive the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet internal and client expectations. The Manager of Development will oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the software development team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) , ensuring proper planning, milestone tracking, and timely delivery.
- Design, code, and test major features in collaboration with developers, QA, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance existing software platforms, including custom programming as required.
- Ensure system architecture, performance, scalability, and reliability for all development projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor development projects.
- Document development deliverables, schedules, and progress reports.
- Implement and continuously improve development processes, methodologies, and coding standards.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices to enhance software quality.
- Manage project budgets and resources, exercising fiscal control over assigned projects.
- Provide after-hours support when needed and assist with urgent technical issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written).Minimum 10 years of software development experience ; at least 5 years in a leadership or management role .Strong hands-on experience with :Programming Languages : Java / J2EE, C, C++, C#Web Frameworks : ASP.NET, Ruby on RailsExperience with agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban) and CI / CD practices.Knowledge of fintech, payments systems, or ISO 8583 is a plus.Strong project management skills; PMP certification is an asset.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Leadership, coaching, and staff managementAnalytical thinking and problem solvingPlanning, organizing, and time managementCreativity, innovation, and results orientationTeamwork and collaborationCustomer focus and quality orientationAdaptability and flexibilityWork Conditions
