Job Summary

In this role, you will plan, develop, and review electrical engineering design work, produce drawings and documentation, and prepare design estimates for a project. You will coordinate with clients, facilitate technical discussions, and review key electrical drawings, calculations, and bid summaries. You will solve complex technical issues and ensure electrical designs comply with all regulations and standards.

Major Responsibilities :

• Leading or administrating work of Electrical designers and drafters for a business line technology to include the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models and construction drawings.
• Developing designs for complete and complex Electrical engineering systems such as earthwork, drainage, road design, foundation, and steel detailing with minimum supervision from which detailed scale models and / or construction drawings are completed, ensuring Electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.
• Assisting in constructing detailed scale models.
• Preparing or assisting with the preparation of assigned material requisitions and bid evaluations.
• Monitoring and checking work for compliance with approved Electrical design standards to provide quality design, reliable / safe plant operation and construction economy.
• Participating in constructability reviews.
• Preparing design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort.
• Coordinating or making jobsite visits, as required, to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents.
• Reviewing Electrical design scope changes, as required, for project management.
• Ensuring Electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.

Education and Experience Requirements :

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
