Nature of Work
Full-time faculty in the Physical Sciences Department with primary teaching emphasis in Geosciences, Director of the Barbour-Cook Geology Museum, and related areas as assigned by the Dean. The faculty member participates in the department and the institution’s communities of learners to foster a culture of inquiry, critical self-reflection, evidence-based decision making, and a learner-centered environment.

- Contribute to students’ academic growth and development, which includes all of the following :
Teaching, which includes but is not limited to the following :

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in the area of Geoscience, Geology, or related discipline.
Experience in teaching and in research / scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate in the area of Geoscience, Geology, or related discipline.
Qualified to teach in the area(s) of chemistry, physics, or environmental sciences
Experience in effectively using technology to facilitate student learning and to expand student access
Experience in GIS and AutoCAD
