Responsibilities
- Achieve annualized new business sales of $200k in our target market of companies with 200-2,000 employees. Retain at least 92% of business year over year with support from leadership and account management.
- Meet new business activity and appointment goals.
- Research prospects and develop customized messaging using USI resources.
- Explain USI’s competitive advantages to clients and prospects.
- Develop sales plans and prospecting strategies.
- Provide innovative solutions based on market knowledge and technical insurance expertise.
- Participate in national and regional meetings and video calls.
- Prepare for appointments, close business, and retain clients.
- Utilize USI’s CRM and sales tools to support processes and provide accurate data.
- Engage in industry training and sales programs.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
- Collaborate with account management on client services.
- Maintain strong knowledge of competitors.
- Represent USI positively at events and networking opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3+ years of sales experience in insurance brokerage with proven success.College degree preferred.Life and Health insurance license required.Strong understanding of Employee Benefits.Personable, motivated, goal-oriented, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.Organized with strong follow-up skills.Consultative approach with prospects and clients.Established presence in the HR and benefits community.Excellent listening and customer service skills.Ability to interact with senior management and demonstrate executive presence.Why USI?
