Overview
The Regional Marketing Manager will develop, execute, and monitor local marketing strategies across the US region, focusing on event marketing to optimize activities and increase brand awareness. This role involves managing offline events throughout their full lifecycle and requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders to effectively represent the company’s identity and presence within the life science community. Occasional night and weekend work may be required to support on-site events and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop local marketing plans to maximize event ROI and raise brand visibility.
- Design and implement both offline and online event strategies tailored to regional markets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop localized promotional campaigns considering regional regulations and cultural nuances.
- Partner with digital marketing to promote events via social media, webinars, and newsletters, and analyze engagement metrics to optimize strategies.
- Manage logistics for trade shows and events, coordinating vendors and carriers to ensure smooth execution.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Conduct market research on customer behavior through surveys, interviews, and focus groups to improve marketing initiatives.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform strategic planning.
- Supervise and mentor the offline event marketing team to foster collaboration and performance.
- Manage relationships with distributors, collaborators, and partners across the US.
- Travel up to 30-40% depending on event schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in life science or a related discipline.Minimum 3 years of marketing experience, preferably in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sectors.Preferred Qualifications
An advanced degree or an MBA is preferred.5+ years of B2B or B2C marketing experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese preferred.Skills & Abilities
Passion for the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry with alignment to company values.Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.Proficient in marketing tools such as Salesforce, Adobe, Canva, Constant Contact, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).Strong leadership capabilities with resilience under stress and an innovative mindset.Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Ability to create strategic vision and execute plans effectively.Strong multitasking and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Willingness to travel frequently for marketing events across the US.Work Location & Environment
This role primarily operates in an office environment, with occasional exposure to laboratory and warehouse settings. It may require travel and on-site event participation.
