Job Description

Watershed Security is a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years of Cybersecurity and Government Contracting experience. We are looking for a Journeyman Technician to support shipboard networks. This position will provide Tier 2 / 3 infrastructure support for all aspects of shipboard networks and will lead or be part of teams installing new or upgrading existing systems. The technician will work closely with government and civilian management teams to coordinate tasking, ship visits, and priorities. Work will be onsite in Diego Garcia and will require extensive travel.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a DoD Secret Clearance
• Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification per DoD 8570.01M, and be able to obtain the appropriate Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience in an enterprise-scale environment
• SME knowledge or skillset in some or all of the following : Windows Server (2008 R2, 2016), Windows 7, Windows 10, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare Server, HBSS, WSUS
• Ability to travel to Chesapeake, VA for one month at the start of the assignment for hands-on training with shipboard technicians
• Willingness to work overtime as required to meet ship’s schedules
• Ability to ride ships if needed for critical work efforts
• Ability to drive a car to destinations as needed
• This position is OCONUS in Diego Garcia
• Travel requirement : 50% or greater

Pay Range

Final salary depends on location, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits, educational reimbursement, 401K matching, 15 days PTO, and 11 paid holidays. The salary range is : $80,000 - $95,000 USD.
