Overview
A Product Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the creation, formulation, and launch of Luxury Brands LLC beauty products such as skincare, haircare, and makeup. This role develops products and helps manage timelines from conceptualization through mass production, working closely with the Head of Product Development and various cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development & Coordination
Assist in the development of new beauty products, reformulations, reorders, and repackaging projects.
Organize and track new product submissions, benchmark samples, and review / approve production batches with external labs (ability to travel mandatory).Help maintain timelines, track progress, and communicate cross functionally to maintain key milestones to ensure on-time delivery to warehouse.Assist in maintaining product development calendars, meeting notes, and weekly project status updates.Hands-on experience with the full product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.Involvement in product testing and feedback sessions.Cross-Functional CollaborationCommunicate regularly via email and meetings between internal teams (marketing, regulatory, packaging) and external partners (labs, vendors, manufacturers).
Ensure all stakeholders are aligned with formulations, ingredients, and product specifications.Support packaging development, including component sourcing and testing.Collaboration with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, design, and sales).Opportunities to work closely with labs, suppliers, and vendors.Market & Trend ResearchStay up to date with beauty industry trends, competitive products, and innovation.
Provide pricing ladders and market research to inform product strategy, product pricing, and key launch decisions.Exposure to market research and competitive analysis in the beauty industry.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Marketing, or a related field.0 - 1 year of experience in beauty product development, R&D, or a similar role.Knowledge of cosmetic formulations, raw materials, and industry regulations is a plus.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Familiarity with beauty industry software (PLM systems, regulatory databases) is a plus.Familiarity with project management systems (Asana, Monday.com, Trello) preferred to support coordination.Job Details
