Territory Sales Manager- Payroll / HCM

Overview

Heartland is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive revenue growth by acquiring net new business and building a smaller team of sales professionals. You will use a consultative approach with local leadership to set appointments with business owners for Payroll / HCM solutions, through phone, face-to-face, your network, and referral partnerships. You will run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland solutions to close sales in target vertical markets such as restaurants, retail, medical, manufacturing, lodging, auto repair, salons, and more.

Responsibilities

• Crush sales presentations with enthusiasm and finesse
• Use Atlas CRM on your iPad or tablet to show clients why we are the preferred partner
• Educate business owners and referral partners on Payroll / HCM solutions
• Maintain communication with the Territory / Division Manager
• Train and coach sales reps under you to achieve their sales goals
• Support sales reps in the field on all aspects of the proven sales playbook
• Scout for talent and interview like a Hollywood casting director
• Network locally to find sales reps that fit the team
• Demonstrate prospecting, resourcefulness, communication, presentation, and networking skills
• Collaborate with colleagues and work independently when needed
• Maintain a professional demeanor with integrity and a high sense of urgency
• Thrive on cold-calling and face-to-face conversations
• Close sales with a proven track record of pipeline development
• Be part of a business or merchant association or networking group (a plus)
• Possess bilingual skills (a plus) to support diversity and inclusivity
• This is a work-from-home field sales leadership role; you can sell wherever business takes you (bring your iPad and Atlas)

Minimum Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is performance-based with aggressive weekly commissions, residuals, and portfolio ownership upon meeting targets. Benefits include medical, dental, life, and disability coverage; a comprehensive benefits package; and opportunities for recognition and career growth. A first-year professional may expect an average of $90,000 - $105,000+ in uncapped weekly commissions if in the top 25%. Additional benefits include peer recognition programs.
