- Essential Functions and Responsibilities

- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Be proficient in all Guest Service systems and processes.
- Supervise, train, coach, and retrain Guest Service Team on systems, processes, procedures, and guest interaction.
- Oversee and ensure accountability in all aspects of the Guest Service Team’s performance.
- Manage all front office activities during scheduled shifts.
- Monitor and adjust room availability status.
- Check travel agent commissions, franchise frequent stay program activity, and central reservations.
- Maintain records of registration cards, reservations, correspondence, and no-shows.
- Verify Maid’s list and ensure room availability accuracy.
- Audit banks and check dry cleaning status.
- Review and approve time cards.
- Submit daily reports to the Guest Services Manager.
- Maintain good guest relations by staying informed about in-house and area functions to answer questions and concerns promptly.
- Contribute to and maintain communication sources such as log books to enhance department operations.
- Assist other team members and departments to ensure overall hotel performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience.
- Note that management may update duties as needed.
Supervisory Responsibility : Responsible for supervising Guest Service Team.
Independent Judgment : Often within management guidelines and company policies.
Working Conditions : Front desk / lobby area with access to entire property.
Knowledge / Education / Experience : Minimum two years hotel experience as Front Desk Supervisor or in similar roles; strong English skills.
Skills / Abilities / Other Requirements : Excellent customer service, communication, supervision, organizational skills, and basic accounting and computer skills; valid driver’s license and dependability.
Physical Requirements : Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 20 lbs.
