System Administrator

Overview

Job Overview Plan A Technologies is looking for an experienced System Administrator with strong expertise in Splunk to join our IT operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure while leveraging Splunk for system monitoring, log management, and incident response. The ideal candidate will combine solid system administration skills with hands-on Splunk knowledge to proactively detect issues, improve observability, and enhance operational efficiency.

Please note : you must have at least 8+ years of experience as a System Administrator and 3+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk administration and development to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and core IT infrastructure (Windows / Linux).
• Deploy, configure, and manage Splunk Enterprise / Splunk Cloud environments, including indexers, forwarders, search heads, and apps.
• Develop and optimize Splunk queries, dashboards, and alerts to monitor system health, performance, and security events.
• Integrate Splunk with third-party tools, log sources, and IT workflows.
• Automate recurring tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
• Perform routine system upgrades, patching, and security hardening.
• Support troubleshooting of system, application, and network issues using Splunk insights.
• Collaborate with IT security, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to enhance incident detection and response.
• Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and Splunk knowledge objects.
