Overview
Systems Integration Implementation Engineer (On-site, California) — Advanced Systems Group, LLC (ASG) is seeking an experienced Implementation Engineer to join our Broadcast Systems and Solutions team and support on-site audiovisual integration projects for clients in California. These roles are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, and candidates must be based in California.
Responsibilities
- Attend daily meetings with our team(s) and / or clients for projects in various phases of project planning and deployment.
- Confirm site details during kickoff (building access, cable conveyance, raised floors / cable trays / conduit, existing power, power requirements, room layouts, loading dock, plenum conditions, and related details).
- Capture cable color codes, labeling formats, and custom equipment, furniture, and prefabricated assemblies during the preliminary design review.
- Estimate integration and engineering labor and materials costs from equipment lists, design drawings, and room layouts.
- Scrub the Bill of Materials (BOM) against drawings during the critical design review to identify missing equipment before fabrication or installation.
- Perform design reviews to identify errors or corrections and create wire-lists / cable-pull sheets.
- Print / plot design packages to ship to install teams and support on-site deployment.
- Collaborate with engineering on red-line corrections in AutoCAD.
- Lead on-site integration teams (as directed) to ensure installations adhere to ASG standards, and are completed safely, on time, and on budget.
- Maintain on-site inventory of ASG materials and manage on-site labor (including sub-contractors) for efficiency and productivity.
- Represent ASG and our core values in on-site actions, communication, and appearance.
- Provide daily project reports with photos, including : resources on site; time on site; rooms / tasks worked on and completed; schedule deviations; roadblocks; and any red-lines captured in Autodesk Build where applicable.
- Perform integration tasking as needed, including : rack build, cable pull, cable termination / testing / validation, equipment mounting, and system configuration / testing.
- Ability to travel up to 50% as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in AV systems integration.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.Experience installing voice / data cabling, fiber optics, and related systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Clear and detailed understanding of project phases—construction, installation, and integration.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Excel, Word, and Google Sheets tools.Possess basic hand tools for integration tasks (e.g., screwdrivers, soldering iron, and crimpers for CAT & SDI cables).Compensation & Benefits
This full-time role offers a salary of $130,000–$150,000 depending on experience.
