Overview
Arena has partnered with a global hospitality manufacturing and project services group to identify an accomplished Controller to lead their finance and accounting operations. This senior role is based on-site near DTLA, CA, and offers the opportunity to own financial strategy, oversee ERP implementation, and serve as the CEO's key advisor during a critical growth phase. The role is in office 5 days a week.
Arena provided the base pay range and notes that your actual pay will be based on skills and experience. The base pay range is $150,000.00 / yr - $175,000.00 / yr.

Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of accounting operations : AR, AP, GL, payroll, reconciliations, month-end close, and complianceOversee WIP reporting, sales tax filings, and commission structure accuracyImplement and refine cost accounting practices to optimize marginsDirect ERP migration (Acumatica / NetSuite / Oracle), ensuring a seamless transition from QuickBooksBuild budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs for executive decision-makingPresent financial reports and strategic insights directly to the CEO and leadership teamMentor and manage accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementWhat We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior leadership rolesExpertise in cost accounting, commission management, and sales tax complianceStrong background in manufacturing, construction, or project-driven industriesProficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and payroll systems (Paychex)ERP knowledge (Acumatica, NetSuite, Oracle) and experience leading system implementationsExceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsNice-to-Haves
