As they continue to scale, they’re looking for a contract Vice President of Finance for a 3-month engagement to lead the finance function during a pivotal period of growth and transformation. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact leadership team within an agile, entrepreneurial environment that blends deep music industry roots with bold, data-driven strategy.

The ideal candidate is a finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, creative settings and is eager to play a hands-on role in building scalable systems, processes, and insights to support a dynamic and diverse catalog. This person will be instrumental in shaping the finance function and laying the groundwork for a best-in-class team.

The Role

As the contract VP of Finance, you’ll take ownership of all core accounting and financial operations for the business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll oversee all financial strategy, lead a small team, and help operationalize financial processes across the company. You’ll be a strategic partner to leadership, supporting smart, sustainable growth while ensuring financial integrity and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company\'s financial strategy to support long-term growth and profitability.
• Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP / AR, payroll, and cash management.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for leadership, investors, and external stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Collaborate with A&R, marketing, and label teams to support accurate revenue recognition and cost allocations.
• Oversee tax compliance, audit readiness, and financial reporting requirements.
• Implement systems and tools to improve financial workflows and reporting capabilities.
• Provide strategic guidance on building and managing a growing finance / accounting team.
